Here I am again WhiteCygnus readers, to offer you my two pesos on "Blood: The Last Vampire." The film is the latest in a recent series of anime titles to hit American theaters. This was a very interesting film and in my view it stands out among the many that represent the wave of the future in Japanese animation.

Overall, I have to say the production team did an excellent job on the look and feel of the film. The cinematography was dark and alluring and the main character, Saya maintained her aura of mystery throughout the film. I think these are the main things that have contributed to the film's popularity.

At a mere 48 minutes long, the film could have used a little more story development but there is more to the concept that is explored in greater detail in video games, comic books, and a novel.

In conclusion, this film is good enough to buy on DVD. Just don't show it to your kids unless you want them screaming in the night.

Until next time, laters and "Please Come Again!"
